The bloodknight obliterates its enemy then sucks its soul out and drinks its blood, thus gaining more power until it becomes so powerful it has the choice to forsake its master, normally leaving the master. This particular one was a young boy who's father was a priest and gave him the necklace, he was called off to war, his family was proud. a necromancer pinned him down but saw the will to fight in the poor boys eyes, he rendered the boy unconscious and took him back to the ruined tower of the castle which was destroyed by the paladins of old. He was changed into a bloodknight involuntarily and now serves the evil necromancer, the necklace of the cross is the only thing he has left of his family. They were murdered. By him. The bodies were never found.
