Rossum's Redstone-powered Robot

The time: 1840 The place: London.

An Engineer was working in the night, nearing completion on his life's work. To create something that moved by itself, thought for itself and yet was not alive. A walking machine. It made use of the recently discovered pistons by using them for hands and feet. The months of toil showed on the Engineer, He was pale from staying indoors, grime lined his face and he had bags under his eyes from going days without any sleep, but it was worth it. all he had left to do was put in the power source. A torch made out of a rare red stone found only deep in mines and caves and it can only be mined with some of the hardest pickaxes. This power is harnessed by the machine by a series of complex clockwork with a variety of cogs. The power emitted from this 'torch' winds it up so it could move. Move! And it is nearing completion.

The time was right. The components were readied. Slowly, the torch was fitted into the machines chest. The eyes lit up, there was a grinding sound and the machine raised it's head.....
