A soldier from the Byzantine (Eastern Roman) empire, around the 10th century A.D. This is the Christian, Medieval, Greek-speaking roman empire whose size and influence is dwindling as the Muslim empires grow stronger. He wears a sort of kilt over green slacks, scale mail body armor, and a rounded bullet-shaped helmet with a feather on top. His little shoesies are like soft leather slippers combined with stockings.
