Jake Sully's Avatar

Jake Sully was born August 24, 2126. After joining the Marines he suffered a spinal injury whilst fighting in Venezuela, paralysing his legs and feet. He couldn't afford the surgery to repair his spine on his veteran benefits so he was forced to live life in a wheelchair.
His brother, Tom, was a scientist who was chosen to participate in the Avatar Program, but was murdered before he left for Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a race of 3m tall blue humanoids, and is one of the moons of the planet Polyphemus which orbits Alpha Centauri A.
After Tom died, Jake was asked to take his place in the Avatar Program since he was the only man alive who could control his twin's avatar. He was sent on a five year trip to Pandora, where he took control of his brother's avatar, a mix between human and Na'vi DNA, and used it to become accepted into the Omaticaya Clan of the Na'vi, of which he became the leader after bringing all the Na'vi clans together to defeat the humans who were trying to destroy the forests and kill the Na'vi to mine the unobtainium.
