The lifeless stare of the rag doll locked the fearful eyes of the six year old trying to fall asleep. As soon as the closet doors had swung open, the child had begun to fear for the worst: zombies, aliens, and gigantic spiders. But the only thing that met the child was the glare from the rag doll. Long ago, this toy had been her play toy. She named it Freddie, and it was her favorite toy. They always went everywhere together. She carried him around any which way she went, but that all ended when she had dropped him on the floor when a new toy was introduced. The dog soon took advantage of this development and used Freddie as a chewing toy. He took major damage to his back as confessed by his two rips and then he had rips appear all over him over the month that the dog had him. When found by the mother, she threw him in the closet, where Freddie has been sitting, restless.
