Frost Fire

"The child saw the meteor strike the ground. It was 12:41 at night. He ran out, fascinated and curious. When he looked into the crater, he did not see a chunk of space rock, but a glowing steel belt with a shimmering diamond in the center. The child reached down to pick up the shining belt, not knowing that it hid a curse. He slowly place it around his waist, making sure to angle it so it would glimmer just right. Suddenly, a burning agony struck him, enveloping him in an inferno of pain. The belt had fused itself to the boy's waist. And it would never come off as long as he lived...
