Gimli is a well respected dwarf warrior in Middle Earth. He joined Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Boromir at Rivendell as part of the Fellowship of the Ring, and fought against Sauron's armies at the end of the Third Age. After the war he was given lordship of the Glittering Caves behind the wall of Helms Deep in the Forth age. He is a strong warrior and prefers to use his axes in battle.
