After the Emperor was killed by Darth Vader, Admiral Thrawn, a member of the Chiss species, assumed control of the remaining Imperial Fleet. Differing greatly from his predecessors, Thrawn was a tactical genius. He studied both of military nintelligence and art with determination and was more concerned with defeating the enemy and nestablishing order than personal glory.
I know that most of you won't know the character, but I don't really care. If someone asks me to name a badass from the Star Wars universe that isn't Boba Fett, this guy is the next in line.
