It was late 2018, the world had been at peaceful negotioations for 5 months, over the last remaining oil reserve on the planet. In June of 2018 the worlds dipomats had assembled in an undisclosed location to try and negoiate a way that the oil reserve could be shared equally. However, during the talks, a rebel fighting force had discovered the location of the negotiations and opened fire on a group of soldiers at a military checkpoint, guarding the access road to the bunker in which the diplomats were trying come to an aggrement over the oil reserve.

All countries involved in the negotiations assumed it was organised by another one of the countries trying to get the last reserve of oil. Each country was rightfully wary of one another, no one trusted anyone. As soon as the news of the attack on the checkpoint reached the worlds goverments and military leaders, the world was on guard, every nation had all their missiles primed and ready to go. All that was needed was one spark to set the the chain of missile fireing and armies invading. That spark happened, all records of who launched the first missile were erased, no one knows, maybe that is for the best. As soon as the worlds military leaders heard of the first launch, they lanuched a retailiation strike, on, well, everyone.

Just thirty minutes after the first nuclear missile was launched 246 missiles were in the air and traveling towards their destinations to cause the six mile blast radi of havok. Even after the initial 246 misiles had been launched, governments from around the world were still ordering more lauches to cause more death and more carnage and so, another 385 were launched from previously top secret locations from all 4 corners of the planet.

The world as civilization knew it was over. As hundreds nuclear warheads flu though the air hit the planets hard, rocky surface, there was untold damage and death. Forty percent of the worlds human population was gone. Just gone. For the remaining survivers life was hard.

There was a global nuclear winter for 18 months. All plants and crops died, there was no fresh food. Of the 4 billion survivers of the initial blasts another 2 billion people died in the coming weeks due to nuclear fallout. A further 1.5 billion people died of disease and starvation during the nuclear winter. The world was on its knees. With just small groups of survivors left it wasn't long before these groups became hostile gangs fighting for the few pieces of food that was still safe to eat.

Harry Souken survived the nuclear blasts, the nuclear fallout and the nuclear winter. He leads a small group of peaceful people. They fight when they have to, but not for the fun of it, he recognises that the human race has to be peaceful to continue, it can't fight any more than it already has. The only way anyone can survive in the any radiated area is with breathing aparatus and googles. Without a pair of googles eyes will burn and without breathing aparatus any poor soul that inhales will find they are coughing up blood until they colapse and die.

Harry searches for scraps of food, clothes and anything that could be used to make survival easier. He carries his bag on his back at all times, anything that he finds he puts in their and takes his findings back to his small band of fellow survivers. It has been three years since the first launch, Harry and his small band of friends have no idea what the next day will bring, if they will eat or not or if they will be killed by a rival gang who just need some food. Life is hard for everyone who is still alive, more and more people are dieing from disease and murder everyday, no one knows how human civilization will return from this disaster and more importantly if it will survive or wipe its self out.

It had been a strange two weeks; people had come to realise the apocolpye had happened and fighting about it was no use. Unfortunatly it was too late, out of the seven billion people that roamed the Earth in early 2018 only 2544 were now alive. People were grouping together to form larger clans to start a new towns and cities to repopulate the Earth. However even after all of the pain and suffering that the few remaining inhabitants of the planet had gone through and the sudden realisation that they had to stop fighting, it wasn't enough. After one town found a safe water supply another would fight their wey in and use it, no matter the consequences. Because of this only one hundred people now roam the barron planet that was once home to over seven billion people. Searches for Harry Souken are being made by his friends, they don't know if he is alive or dead... You can help their cause by giving this man a diamond, it will keep him safe and well until his friends find him.
