Phil's older brother is cookie monster. Determined to get a better job then his brother, Phil went to college. He got a PHD and applied to work as an engineer at Microsoft. Unfortunately for Phil, Purple Horned Monsters didn't fly well. So Phil went to a bar, got drunk, went in to denial, and all this other stuff. Soon Phil was on the street living in a box until a portal to the land of Imagination opened up. Phil had nothing to lose so he stepped in to the portal. Now Phil's a monster that hide under beds and scared people (Especially people form Microsoft).
