I started out making this skin as a variation of my tabby cat but quickly discovered that the defining features of Puss in Boots are his plumed hat, his oversized boots, his flowing cape and his sword belt. I spent a lot of time shading his wardrobe. Then I realized that the face wasn't right and that he needed to to look a little hunkier and less flabby. I removed stripes and added biceps, triceps and a hint of pectorals. I even ended up reworking the tail. He ended up being beefier than his DreamWorks inspiration but what are you gonna do when working with blocks?
