Sachiel is a character from the TV show Neon Genesis Evangelion and the movie Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone.

Fifteen years ago, humanity, through its arrogance, sinned against God and as a result the Second Impact occured. For fifteen years the Children of Adam, the Angels, those which partook of the Seed of Life, have incubated and grown. Now, their time has come.

Sachiel is the Third Angel, the Angel of Water, the Covering of God. It is the first to be encountered by the protagonists of Evangelion 1.0, and by far the most iconic to the fanbase.

Sachiel, unlike most Angels, has two masks. The smaller mask formed after the Angel was hit with an N^2 missile, showcasing Sachiel's amazing regenerative abilities. The bone lances on its arms, used as ranged weapons, also formed after the attack. Sachiel was finally killed by a berserk Evangelion Unit 01 near the beginning of the movie... Not the most exciting fight in the whole movie series, but certainly one of the most memorable.
