Karel Ä apek (1890-1938) - Czech writer.Karel Ä apek wrote satirical science fiction novel "War with the Newts", in czech original "Válka s Mloky".
People used them to hunt pearls, but then to create even new continents and islands. Salamanders were able to walk on two legs, just like people. Soon, the number of salamanders was bigger than the count of people. At the end, salamanders used people as their slaves. Anti-utopia novel.

Karel Ä apek also first used the word "robot".
The skin is my interpretation of the salamanders, as they are described in the book.
