Sigma was once the honorable leader of the maverick hunters, a group designated to eliminate dangerous reploids. However, he got infected with the maverick virus after a fateful encounter with a maverick Zero, and soon it began consuming his mind. Suddenly, Sigma goes maverick unexpectedly, and unleashes a war against mankind! Under his rule, the Mavericks become a powerful legion with the aim of eliminating the human race!
