The Scarlet Stranger

This isn't really part of the 50 SUBS 'STRAVAGANZA, but I thought I might as well post it now anyway.

A Long time ago
in the Castle Chameleon
lived a man named Count Thrashwoode
who was quite machivellian
the king of the north
wanted him dead
so he called on a stranger
clad in red
the stranger to whom
all evil would yeild
the masked one
who wielded sword and shield
he struck down Count Thrashwoode
for all that was right
and returned to the king
in the middle of the night
the king promised rewards
but that promise wasn't true
and if only the stranger knew
that the king was a tyrant, full of danger
the king backstabbed Scarlet, saying
"We don't talk to strangers."
