The program that fights for the users, Tron was just a program inside of a computer that was found and brought to a new system by Kevin Flynn. The symbol on his chest is a symbol of freedom and is known throughout "The Grid." His job is to protect The Grid from anyone getting in the way of peace. Tron and Kevin Flynn's friend CLU betrayed them and what he says killed Tron. Tron then went into hiding, avoiding being found of his identity.
