The Utility Series was one of the most profitable of its time. The main focus for robots was military and domestic, so a utilitarian robot had no competition in the market.
This model can be used for any non-combat job. Its magnetic "hands" and soles give it a steady grip on tools and much needed balance (something many housekeeper-style units lacked). The robot has a small amount of storage in its torso. The latter combined with its weather-proof Hilleltite coating make it ideal for courier assignments. Other popular uses are janitor and supervisor.
Utility Unit Series production remains valuable. The latest count shows that a total of 87,204 models have been sold to businesses, the products main audience, within the last three months.
One unit, however, went rogue. Unit 00132 had its programming changed by an incognito competitor. The job was sloppy and the robot is now torn between the empire of a monopoly that saw it as just another unit, and the re-programmer whose changes made it more human-like, giving it something between emotions and programming.
