Wraith

Skin i made for the Mythological Creature Skin Contest. As usual, this was made on Skincraft on newgrounds.


I decided to go with the idea for a wraith, one of my favorite mythological creatures. They are fallen sorcerers or wizards that died from uncommon causes ( perhaps murder or practicing dark magic that overpowered them ), and brought back as these grotesque ghosts. They can steal souls from unsuspecting victims and use them to corrupt others, warping their minds and turning them evil.


Wraiths usually appear as a dark, robed figure with raven-like wings on their backs. They can carry weapons varying from scythes to staffs, anything that gives the "Undead Sorcerer" vibe. They can either appear as a completely hidden apparition or a skeleton-like figure, which is how i made my skin.
