Annabeth Wyvernhawk

Annabeth was only 7 when her parents became ill with a disease that was said to kill whoever got it. She was sent off with her relatives who lived on the coast, to live with them until she was old enough to go off on her own. Each day she thought of her parents, and each day she knew she wouldn't see them ever again. She didn't mind her relatives, but was usually up in her room, the loft, doing the only thing she could think of to pass the time, and that was playing the violin. She practiced every day, from dawn till dusk, only leaving her room for meal times. She felt so much at home when she played, and by the time she was fourteen, she had memorized a few songs and played them flawlessly. Annabeth soon realized that she would be leaving in a few years, and knew she would have to learn to fight, if she was to survive in the world. She would have to live up to the reputation of her father, Markus Wyvernhawk, if she was to make her parents proud, and every morning for a year, she picked up the sword given to her by her uncle, and practiced for hours. She practiced onslaughts of attacks some days, then toned it down and practiced defense for a while, all while practiced her footwork. Then, after long days of practicing, her aunt and uncle told her that it was time, time to go into the world. That night, she packed all of the belongings and clothing she had, which wasn't much, and by morning, she had the bags and saddle on the horse, as well as her riding boots on. She said her farewells to her aunt and uncle, before setting off down the long and lonely road to the mainland...
