Aphrodite, was the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility. She was depicted as a beautiful woman often joined with the winged godling Eros.Her symbols were the dove , apple , seashells , and many other beautiful items.She had many gentlemen callers, however was marred to the lame and disfigured Hephaestus.
