Story
The wind was whistling through the trees, and the rain was hammering down upon the tin roof of the makeshift laboratory hidden deep in the Aokigahara forest. A mad scientist, bent on twisting reality was frantically jabbing a stiff, cold body with large metal needles connected to a wire leading up to a massive antennae. The scientist jumped as a loud crash of thunder rolled overhead, he tossed through his tools even more feverishly and a cold sweat broke out on his brow, he was running out of time.
For the experiment to work the body must be covered from head to toe with a thin layer of of titanium foil so the electrical pulse caught in the antennae would surround the body in the required electromagnetic field. The field would then pull the metal needles out of the body and place them in a stationary hold about an inch above the body. At this point the field would collapse upon itself and send the body into an alternate reality, and if the scientists calculations were correct, another being would be pulled back into our world (due to the laws of conservation of matter a direct transfer of atoms would be required).
However, the scientist never completed the task of covering the body with the titanium foil. After finishing the layering on the head and starting down the chest, an enormous earthquake rocked the lab and threw the scientist away from the body. At this moment a pitch fork of lightening plunged into the antennae and started the process. The scientist watched with a quivering sense of failure and expectation as the table with the body sparked with light. A light pulse blew outwards from the table and the rods rose into the air. Suddenly, the air was wrenched from the room and the lights shattered as the implosion occurred.
The scientist stood up from behind a fallen bench, pulled out a weak torch, and pointed it at where the body had been... it was gone. He stared in awe at what he had achieved, until he heard that deep gurgling roar.
