Backstory
The thing about Blocks is that he looks like your average stereotypical high-school bully. He's got the letterman jacket, the smug smirk, all that stuff. He puts on a tough appearance too, so of course people are going to want to be like him, and that makes himpopular,too.All of that put together makes him look pretty much impossible to be friends with. And, well, it kind of is. He's always talking with his friend group about... sports... things, I guess. They're basically inseparable.
So it must have been pretty lucky for me to find Blocks sitting alone on a bench at the local park one crisp Sunday afternoon with his head in his hands. That was pretty rare for a Tough Guyo like him. I was going to just walk by him, but I heard a quiet, yet depressed sigh, and it all came to me - this guy who seemed so happy all the time with all his friends had a life and problems, too, and now the problems looked like they were surfacing. Somebody had to help him through this somehow.
Long story short, the dog that Blocks owned since third grade had died the other day, and that resulted in his grades at school dropping. To make matters worse, he wanted to get into a good college which meant keeping an eye on those grades. (The things a dog's death will do to you...)
I took the guy under my wing, and also took him to my house a couple of days later for a casual study session, since I needed some time for work, too. We learned alotabout each other that day. But probably most importantly, I learned not to judge a book by its cover.
Especially not a math textbook.

I made this skin while I was in kind of a creative slump, so I guess it's not exactly the most original idea : At least I'm not really sick anymore, that might have pulled me down a little. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this! :)
