This was originally a personal skin that I made for myself in early December 2012. It's been through 24 different versions until I finally finished it in late January, about a day and a half before my birthday. I put a lot of work in it. It even had its own cape at one point, which I eventually animated. I then just decided to add a scarf on the back of the skin itself. It also originally had my logo on its shirt; just a few days ago I removed it so I could post it for public use.
A few years after the passing of his beloved, he stood before her grave with their young daughter's hand in his own. "I'll promise to take care of you in the afterlife, my love..." He looked down at his daughter, who was too young to know or remember his words. She had a red feather behind her ear -- phoenix feather -- which represented rebirth, a new beginning. "...and I promise, I'll watch over our girl until my dying breath."
A tragedy occurred months later that not only resulted with the loss of the father's legs, but the disappearance of his only purpose in life, his daughter. Not knowing where she had gone, or who had taken her, he searched for her. Being a mechanic, he built himself a new pair of legs and began his quest.
He wandered the rest of his days looking, searching, praying to the All-Mighty that she was alive and safe. Many years passed, he had aged many, when he came into a town looking for a place to stay because he had just about given up. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a speck of red. He turned, and at the end of the street he saw her, much older now, and with another family. He was about to run up to her, when he stopped. He saw how happy she was with the other family -- her new family. She was happy. She was alive, safe, and happy... and that was all he ever wanted.
