This is a defense mechanism, though it is an ancient model. These things hid in the grounds on their front till an intruder walked in front of them. They simply stood up and fired all those miniature canons in its mouth and limbs. The fleshy part in its chest with the four eyes was made from the combination of two living souls, merging them into one. The eyes can cause a number of statuses like confusion, paralyzation, etc. You can find these in any ruin from the more spiritual based clockwork century of a long time ago. New models don't require two bodies and their souls. They run on any type of power source, whether it be the creator's existence, electricity, spiritual, magical or etc.
