Another shading test. Man, these skins are getting continually minimalistic, this skin has only 10 colors total. That taken into consideration, I'm pretty happy with the results!

Anyways, I just recently started thinking about superheroes from different comics, and I think Watchmen have made the biggest impression on me plot-wise. You have these people, Doctor Manhattan with extraordinary abilities, others being awesome/badass in other ways. All of them have their own ways of thinking, which creates a natural flow to how characters go about dealing with each situation.

Lots of comic books, movies and games have a very linear plot, where characters are simply stereotypes to fill a certain role. They mechanically create situations and, through that, drive the plot to its inevitable, mostly predictable conclusion. Modern pieces of entertainment, games especially, think they can escape this box by creating a whacked out premise, but most of the time, they follow the same patterns because they use establishes character stereotypes and plots. Watchmen was one of those pieces of entertainment that went about breaking that box.
