Ivy's father was taking her to nursery on a particularly windy winter morning. She started wandering along the pavement as her dad stopped to lock the car, when a sudden gust of wind whooshed through the city and she was swept off her feet and into the air. She screamed for her dad, her dad dashing after her screaming her name back. Ivy began to cry, her tears solidifying into cold, hard ice as they rolled down her cheeks. The cold didn't bother her, it never had. Her short blond hair whipped around her face. She was blown above the clouds and couldn't see her dad anymore. Little did she know that she would never see him again. Her light body was violently hurled into a tall building, knocking her out.
She didn't know when she woke up. She was buried in a blanket of snow. She had no idea where she was or what time it was. Ivy sobbed quietly, her icy tears making holes in the deep fluffy snow.
Ivy learned to look after herself, she lived all alone in the arctic. She had killed various animals to make clothes, and over time her skin became pale and white, slightly blue tinged even. Her hair was always icy cold. One half of her hair was a deep, sea blue and the other half a cold, arctic sky blue. Her eyes were a pale yet bright blue. She could manage to control all the animals in the arctic. She ate little and was skinny and bony and her hair was ragged and tangled. She hadn't seen another human since she lost her dad, 13 years ago, and she may never see another human again. But she was getting weak. Over 10 years on and she was getting flashbacks of her dad. She threw one of her ice daggers at the polar bear - her lunch. She missed. She never misses. But this time, she missed. The bear lunged at her and she fainted. She remembered her dad screaming "Ivy! Ivy!" The bear didn't kill her. He simply ran off.
Only a few weeks later, she was found by a group of explorers trudging through the freezing arctic. They were dragging their feet through the snow when they saw a point of ice sticking out the snow. What they saw would haunt them for the rest of their lives. They dug up a huge ice cube, and staring at them, open mouthed from inside of the ice was a human girl, she looked no more than about 16. Her skin was as white as the fur of the polar bears and her hair 2 shades of cold blue. Her blue eyes stared out at them, still and glazed over.
