King Richard III of England was the last Protagenet king of England. He was the king of England for 2 years (1483-1485) and he was killed in the Battle of Bosworth Field. He was the last English king to die in battle and the only one to die on English soil since Harold II in the Battle of Hastings in 1066.King Richard III's remains were found last September under a carpark in Leicester and the remains were confirmed to be his on February 4th 2013.
