Layla was born the daughter of a king and queen in the Overworld. When she was born, her mother had a vision that she would be the goddess of darkness, but she ignored it. As Layla began to mature, her mother and father saw the signs of her dark nature. Layla had a cold heart and felt no sorrow for others. She began to cause great terror for the people of the Overworld. When she was 16, she was banished to the Underworld and was named the Goddess of Darkness. She grew more and more angry at her parents and other mortals so she plotted a horrible revenge on them. Two years after her banishment, she returned to her family's kingdom and unleashed many horrible things such as diseases, deadly animals, and an everlasting darkness over the kingdom.
