Lost Camper

Many years ago in the Quetra Rock camping grounds there was a terrible storm. The tempest had actually been predicted but nevertheless, an especially confident camper insisted on settling down at the much sought after area near the famous cliff. The storm came suddenly and viciously and lasted through the entire night and much of the next day. Three days later, the paths through the forest were still flooded but a park ranger precariously trekked through the woods to check on the camper. When he arrived, the campsite was seemingly untouched, the camper had done a masterful job of setting up. However, there was no sign of the camper. The rangers sent parties in search of the camper and though they looked thoroughly, the camper was never found.
When the park finally re-opened, everything seemed normal. But then, people began disappearing. Anyone who set up camp in the area near the cliff would just disappear in the middle of the night. The only clues left were drag marks and footsteps that would then abruptly stop. None of the victims were ever found. The park ended up restricting the area and the disappearings stopped. But they say that when it rains, you can hear the screams of the lost campers, forever wandering through the forest.
