Geordi LaForge appears on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Geordi LaForge is the Chief Engineer on the Enterprise D. He was originally posted at the conn, but then got promoted to Chief Engineer. He was born blind, but his VISOR allows him to see beyond the visual spectrum.
