Tim Drake was the third robin, he was taken under Batman's wing/ cape after he deduced that Bruce Wayne was Batman and that Robin (at the time) was Dick Grayson. However, before Tim could join Bruce in his fight against crime he was sent abroad to train because Batman did not want Tim to become reckless like Jason.
