A clone of Peter Parker, Kaine Parker maintains the powers of Spider-Man, however due to rapid degeneration due to the cloning process, he sought healing powers from a powerful entity. Healed, he dons the Scarlet Spider costume (previously owned by Ben Reilly), now with all the power and none of the responsibility!
