When I thought about Steve, I imagined a person who had been surviving against all odds for quite a long time. His facial hair overgrown from not being able to shave, his clothes dirty and torn from his work. I tried to make him look somewhat sad, his loneliness, his only company being the monsters he must fight off, what horrors he must face.
