Thaldar, God of Blacksmiths

My contest entry, first skin after a month. Done in two hours or so.

Cling! Clang! Down in the Seven Forges, right under the Celestial Realms, work never stopped since the dawn of eternity; hundreds of thousands of immortal blacksmith souls forged weapons continuously. Above them all was Master Smith Thaldar, the god of all blacksmiths, the one who gifted fire and tools to the mortals. Thaldar himself was working tirelessly alongside the souls of every blacksmith who ever lived and died down in the mortal plains; his large hammer went up and down, forging swords worthy of the gods. He raised his welding helmet; he had no need for it at the moment, but the brightness of certain unearthly metals used in the Seven Forges could temporarily blind even a mighty god such as himself.

Thaldar knew that the Last Battle was approaching. The time when the hordes of evil led by the evil gods of the Underworld would try to consume the mortal plains and even the Celestial Realms was drawing near; soon the other gods would have to cease childishly plotting against each other and meddling in various affairs and take up weapons to fight the hordes of evil alongside mortals. That's why the Seven Forges never ceased producing weapons and inventing new alloys. Thaldar's right eye was the price he paid for his newest project, a blade that could harm even the mightiest of gods and undo them from existence. Thaldar didn't know what would the purpose of the Seven Forges be if the battle is won, but for now, there was work to be done.
