The Nobody

(Read the story in an old story-teller's voice, similar to the one in the Borderlands 2 Intro.)
Ahh, you wanted to see me? I'm kind of busy, so make this one quick.

The Nobody? You dare question my ways? Okay, okay. How about this. You caught me in a good mood, so I'll tell ya.
Back, probably 150 trillion years ago, when I created the floating sidewalk of matter you call home, I had an idea. It was to make everything abosultely perfect. Nothing would be wrong. There would be crime, no pollution, no evil, predetermined life cycles, everyone was friends, etc. I see you look puzzeled, probably becuase the state the land is in now. There is crime, pollution and evil. Nobody is friends. Well, halfway through the process of making the land, I realized that it was a terrible idea. What was the fun of watching a bunch of pansies dance around and hold hands? NOTHING, that's what. So I thought, "What could I do to give this world a cruel and sickening twist?".
Then it hit me. In the place called "Earth" you probably studied in school, they have a nasty social system. There are many social "classes", the lowest being the one referend to as a "Nobody". He was the one who studied hard, got good grades, dressed very nice, and didn't have much of a social life. That's why to everyong else, he was a "nobody". And that was my idea. In this land I was making, there would be a Nobody. Chosen at random, a person would be spawned. I gave him the knowledge of basic life functions, such as breathing, walking, and talking, since he'd be lacking any parental guidance. But this person was all alone. Nobody saw him. Nobody interacted with him. He simply ceased to exist to everyone else. Everyday I'd watch him painfully walk up to someone, only to be shoved away and rejected. He'd desperately try to communticate, but no one would acknowlage him. He was The Nobody. Each Nobody looks the same, tall, skinny, black hair, pale skin. In my mind, this was the pefect idea. Then I hit a road-bump. If they soon realize they're life is pointless, what would be stopping them from killing themselves? So then I had another idea.
Make another person, but the exact opposite of the Nobody. I called him "The Somebody". Everyone adores him, but he desperately begged for everyone to not. You see, the trick was that I gave each a rose and a note. The note tells them about the opposite person, and their chance at a normal life. And the rose would tilt towards the other person. Once the two roses connected, both beings would be put into one, normal person, just like everyone else. Sickening, see? Imagine the horrors they face to find each other! Ha! But I can tell you still have questions. If I made this land perfect, why is it not perfect now? Well, for some damn reason, one of the conjoined Nobody and Somebody people was able to come in contact with the Nobody. Don't ask me how he saw him, because I don't know. Well, what happened next, wasn't very pretty. They told EVERYONE about the Nobody and the Somebody, and only half of the population believed it. That led to arguing, and that led to fighting, and that led to war. And for as long as I can remember, they've been killing each other over something I did. Why don't I stop them, you ask? Well, because It's fun to watch, that's why! Now go, shoo, begone with you. I've got some destruction to watch.
