Far in the south pole, The Pale Knight, Kraden Frostmourne, woke up. He hadn't slept well since the seeming eternal blizzard had started a few years ago. He was stranded in the outpost where he was trained and raised. He placed his armor on, an armor dark as the night above his head, which seemed to stay there for longer than it was necessary, longer than what he could take. He, at that moment, knew it was not long for his existence to fade away. His skin and hair had turned pale over the time, and his once vibrant eyes now sheered of and elder cold feel. His armor's rims had rusted and his entire armor was slightly cracked on some parts, but it was his greatest position; the black armor of his father. This armor was ment for the cold, as it's color and material seemed to absorb and boost Kraden's entire body heat.
He sighed, there was noone to be seen in the outpost's boundaries... As expected. He had not seen another intelligent being for too long, having only seen animals... Which soon died due to his mighty swing, afterwards eaten. He wasn't brave nor mighty as the heroes of the tales his father used to narrate to him to sleep... But the feeling of being a part of the Black Guard of the South was just enough for him to feel pleased... However, this sense of please had faded away as soon as his youth did. He was in his early thirties, but he felt as if he was as elder as one of the council in his home town.

How is this arctic-themed?
I believe myself you can feel overall cold from the skin by looking at it, having strands of ice or snow in the skin has been used too much, and I believe an actual keeper, a human, warding a certain icy area, and the changes in his complexity is a lot more unique. You can see his skin is pale, and his eyes have lost vibrancy, like-wise to his hair.
