Before the EyeMan had escaped from the laboratory, he had been in a closed environment, with no contaminants, and no disease, so when he escaped, he was bombarded with a plethora of of new diseases, and his body welcomed them, and cultivated them, until he met a man named Steve, whom he thought was an over sized bacteria, so he welcomed him to his body, absorbing and taking control of him
