A few small cracks in her porcelain skin
Show how sheo s been played and toyed
But up on that shelf since God knows when
That smiling face holds no real joy

For joy comes from the one whoo ll care
Smile set and ready for the one who will play
The one whoo ll sit and stroke her hair
And in that oneo s arms, she ends her day

The way she was handled, she felt so loved
To giving hands she gave her heart
Now she sits watching from above
Silently cries as theyo re drifting apart
