Daedalus

In a plane high above the clouds, sat a pilot named Daedalus. It was a stormy winter night, and Daedalus just wanted to get home safely. Alone in his small propeller plane, his goggles fogged up and the winds grew steadily stronger. Hail pelted him and his plane, but he kept on going into the storm until it grew so dark, he had to rely on a compass to get him home. A flash of lightning struck a tree feet away from the tail of the plane. Another bolt struck. Dodging bolts, Daedalus realized his plane was running out of fuel, and he had none to spare. He would not go down with the plane, but there was no other option. Then a bird flew into the propeller, sending feathers flying at him. He had an idea. While still piloting his plane, Daedalus used tar to glue the feathers together to make wings. When the final bolt of lightning struck, Daedalus jumped.
