This skin is okay to me. I tried new shading and on top of that did something I had no clue how to do (aka use the new skin format). Well, I tried.
I did my research, and her clothes still look off to me... I guess that's because I couldn't get any straight image for what a sailor in the 18th century would've looked like - there were a few different variants that I found.
Mary Lacy was one of the women from the 18th century to crossdress and work on a ship. Why did I choose Mary Lacy in particular? No clue; especially considering how I have no clue what she looks like yet still attached her name to this skin.
Really, I tried looking... there are, of course, other people named Mary Lacy. Didn't really help me.
This Mary Lacy in particular, however, went under the name William Chandler at age 19, and becoming servant to the ship's carpenter, she learned a lot about the construction of the ship. By 1763, she was the shipwright's apprentice at Portsmouth Dockyard.
When her secret was suspected, she told only the two people on the ship she trusted most. She kept posing as a man for 17 years, until 1772 when she applied for a pension under her real name.
