Radagast The Brown

Before the Wizards ventured from Valinor, the land of the gods in Middle Earth, Radagast was known as Aiwendil, bird-friend, and was mentored by Yavanna, the goddess of growing things. Saruman chose Radagast to venture with him, as well as Pallando, who later chose Alatar as his companion; the Order of Wizards was begun. Radagast ventured with the rest of the wizards into the West, where he worked solely to protect the forest lands of Middle Earth from the evil of Sauron, as well as protect the interests of the Free People alongside Gandalf (and earlier Saruman) and the White Council. Before the War of the Ring, Radagast dissapeared from his forested abode of Rhosgobel; his task in Middle Earth was done.
