The beast that dwells beneath is a stone-like monster that lives way below the ground (usually around y:12) and hides in caves. Diamonds grow from his stomach so he can fool adventurers that search for riches down under the ground. He lies in wait for somone that tries to mine him and then he attacks. A truly ferocius beast.
