Direct your attention to the decadent deep my dears, from which crooked creatures crawl large and small.
I present you with foul men of fishnick qualities. The Mermen.
I've never liked the idea of mermaids and mermen having predominantly human features, as it seems impractical due to their living situation and environment. Rather i imagine them as slimy little creatures that crawl within the rigging of ships and break important ropes.
Like the medieval equivilant of a gremlin.
