The Mankind skin series! Teaching about history through Minecraft! Meet the Spartan Warrior!

The Greek soldiers were fierce, and would always fight for freedom, much like us today! The longer the hair on the helmet, the more important they were. In fact, the leaders had their feathers sideways. The Spartans had a very war-like society. When their children were born, they couldn't have any disorder. If they were to have any, they would be left on the hill to die, but the people thought the gods wanted those children back. At a young age, the children would start training till' man-hood, and from there, have to finish their training by silently assainating a slave. 


A famous battle was the battle of Thermopoly. At this point, the famous army of 300 Spartan warriors stood their ground as the Persains, the super empire at the time, charged. This was King Leonidas's final battle, against 100's of Persians. Eventually, they were defeated, but later, the Athens who were backing up the Spartans, killed the rest of the Persians. The Greeks won the battle, and lived on.
