Bee stinging was a form of torture aboard convict ships that have been long forgotten, buried and swept under the rug by, who? The government of course! Yes yes, you may think this is absurd, why would the government..Hide a form of torture from the public? Or bribe and blackmail all the people who know of this appalling procedure.
I've got an answer for you, it's all because of one, mind blowing accident that happened a century or so ago.
It was a stormy night, on the pacific ocean, the clouds were dark, the only light in the sky was coming from the lightning strikes, crew members aboard the ship were frantically trying to steady the ships and find a way out of the storm.
The prisoners aboard took this opportunity to try to take control of the ship, but their caretaker saw through that and chained them to their cells, unleashing the cage of bees he kept for such occasion, the prisoners would yell, scream out in pain, collapse on the floor with the killer bugs still attacking them, one woman, by the name of Marcy had an unknown allergy to a bee's venom. She swelled, and swelled, until she blacked out.
The Venom had made it's way into her bloodstream and mutated, she became the worlds first, killer bee.
When she regained consciousness, she felt alive, powerful. And bloodthirsty, she broke out of her cell, and murdered all the people on the boat viciously. The storm died down and she was set adrift, unable to fly free, stuck, forever, in a seemingly timeless ocean, set afloat, until she finds her next victims.
Tl;dr: Mutant bee woman who lives in a boat that has been drifting on the ocean for centuries until found by a british explorer.
