What they did know was that no extraterrestrials had been found yet.

Selected from the best of the best of the best, these highly trained soldiers
fly around in advanced jetpacks and hoverboards, scanning the skies for the occasional alien spacecraft.
They have seen a large amount of action within the past few years, as technology becomes better and
wave-lengths from modern day phones go farther than they should.
Each soldier is handpicked from either the marines, army, or national reserve.
Once they are picked, a murder is faked, although the participants may choose how they die.
Once the funeral process is complete, they then are transported by helicopter to a floating cruiser in the sky.
From here, they will be trained to fight those not of our planet.
