This is my Contest Entry.

Imagine yourself at the end of the world.
It's the middle of December, and icy winds blast on you from all sides.
A bomb hit the city by you, and by some miracle, you survived.
Everyone you knew, is dead, you are alone.
Your body is burnt and scratched, bleeding.

You wrap yourself up in warm clothes, scarf shielding you from the frosty wind.
You hunt for food, water, everything you need to survive.
But, everything is gone, lost in the nuclear blast.
Everything is gone.

You find someone eventually, a young girl, who also
is all burnt and in pain.
You two try to survive together, keeping eachother safe.
Eventually, you fall inlove.
But before you have a chance to tell her how you feel,
while you are hiding in a building from the cold,
she falls through a broken plank, and dies from a splinter in her neck.

Again, you are all alone, just wondering why it's you.
Of all the people, why would it be you?
Your love is gone, again, you are alone and trying to survive.
