Faces peering through the wild veil of mist
A ghostly whisper of lost memories
Howling in winter's treasure globe,
Each snowflake is silver.
Across the vast and lonely tundra,
Winter mourns and weeps for naught,
Her frozen tears gathering
On the surface of the sea.
Can you remember, the time there was
The sound of bells' chimes, and then
A sleigh would sweep into sight amid
The crystalline white snow.
Those memories are gone and their ghosts often linger,
Above the world in sweeping form,
Of amorphous frost and snow.
Remember and weep no more, long-forgotten child,
For one day Winter will weep no more
And unveil her smile.
