Re-do (non ghostly like, yada yada yada):
Mel had been constantly bullied all her life.
Fake rumors about her were spread across her school everyday, and people would believe them.
The worst of Mel's days was on Halloween.
The rumors were beyond horrible and Mel was beyond depressed.
A friend asked her out to do the usual Halloween tradition - go from house to house collecting candy.
She accepted.
Mel decided to go as a zombie - that's how she acted most her life.
Lifeless.
Alone.
Depressed.
Halloween was on a school day and all the students had permission to wear their costumes during school
hours.
At the end of the day, Mel was waiting at the top of the steps that went from the second floor to the first floor
for her friend when suddenly the girl who had bullied Mel all her life pushed her down the stairs.
Mel tumbled down the steps and landed at the bottom with her head at an awkward position, dead and looking
like a real zombie.
The only witnesses had been the girl and a teacher. The teacher didn't see the girl push Mel directly, but she
did see Mel's corpse lying infront of her and the girl who had pushed her still in pushing position.
Each Halloween, students and teachers claimed that they saw a ghostly figure that looked like a zombie
floating up and down the stairs - only on Halloween.
They all had no doubt that it was Mel.
