Antea lived in a garden alone. There was not one furry critter that resided alongside her. She was the one who maintained the lucious garden. Antea tried many times to escape the garden and enter the outside world full of people just like her, but one thing was in her way.
The green, leafy garden wall of the same flowers she grew from her childhood.
Antea endlessly attempted to pass through the thorny wall only the find it to be deep and endless, like a maze.
She was trapped in this maze, and no one ever knew.
How she ended up this way is a mystery even to Antea. The most likely conclusion is that her parents abandoned her at birth and the garden adopted her.
This very day, Antea sat in the leafy shelter, carving sweet nothings into dirty floors with a stick that had fallen from one of the cherry trees.

A human silhouette formed in front of her, the rain beginning to drip drop.
She took his hand and waved her goodbyes to the garden with joyful melancholy.
Antea is a 12 year old girl.
She is heterosexual.
She has a mutual relationship with the boy in the story, however his name is unknown.
(Note: The boy in the story is her age.)
Her name "Antea" means "sweet flower" and has Greek origins.
From this, Antea is a very sweet girl that loves flowers.

From sentence 2, "not one furry critter resided alongside her" is meant to symbolize that Antea is truly isolated from any connections with the world outside the walls.
"The green, leafy garden wall of the same flowers she grew from her childhood" is pretty special, and not only because the original sentence is green and bold, but because you have to imagine Antea as your beloved pet dog. Do you want your dog to run away and you'll never see it again? No, you make a fence and let it bark and try to escape yet likely fail every time.
Despite the fact that you isolate your beloved pet dog, you consider it family, especially since you likely adopted it. The garden is Antea's new family in which she was adopted into ("The most likely conclusion is that her parents abandoned her at birth and the garden adopted her.")
tl;dr The garden doesn't want Antea to leave since it considers Antea to be its daughter.

What Antea was carving would be her imagination going wild about the outside world beyond isolation.
Of course the numbers with that mean something as well

Since Antea has no education, she made the mistake of putting the day before the month.

Moving on to more of bio explanation, Antea is heterosexual because again, she has no education and has never met humans like herself before. The person who found her just so happened to be a twelve year old boy like herself and that lead to heterosexuality.
This would not be the case had a girl found her OR if both a boy and a girl found her.
See what I'm getting at?
The bush is thorny, remember? Antea could probably very easily get through the bushes, they're just incredibly deep and endless. It's still possible to go through them, I mean how else did the boy get there?
The bush is full of thorns. Thorns can cut your skin. Cutting your skin results in injury.
Antea doesn't like pain nor can she repair a deep wound as she has no education. The garden is also unable to help as it doesn't understand humans either.
Luckily, Antea has never been injured too badly. Maybe a little blood loss here and there but nothing severe. Because of these scratches, Antea understands that the thorns will hurt her if she tries to escape.
I saved these final two sentence of the story for last as it is the conclusion.

The silhouette is the shadow of the boy, obviously. The rain is more important here 'kay.
The rain symbolizes the garden's "tears" because Antea is family.
"She took his hand and waved her goodbyes to the garden with joyful melancholy."
She took his hand because he is her "savior" in her little twelve year old mind. And in truth, he is.
It says "joyful melancholy" as Antea waves her goodbyes to the garden because she's happy to be leaving the garden at long last (joyful), but at the same time she loves this precious garden and is also sad to be leaving so soon (melancholy).
In conclusion, this story is about a girl who was abandoned by her family and given a new family; the garden.
This garden cared for her dearly but isolated her in order to keep her with the family, just like the dog I described.
A boy was on an adventure and found the garden through passing the wall and found the girl, giving her a hand to play games with her like children do. The garden cries tears of sadness and joy, and the girl shares those feelings as the two part ways.
